“It’s better than Lego” is your new catchphrase.
A vintage Sunrise interview has been resurfaced by Fox Sports and it's comedy gold. The Newcastle Knights had just won the 1997 grand final and host Natalie Barr decided to interview Matthew Johns the morning after.
Trying to ignore the streaking players, Barr asked a very ~happy~ Matthew Johns how it felt to win the grand final. His answer was to yell, "It was better than lego!" three times.
Then enters half-naked rugby league immortal, Matthew's brother Andrew Johns to give his two cents. It didn't help.
It's simply some of the most hilarious footage in Australian breakfast TV history. And truly one of the most rugby league things to have ever happened.
